A Covenant Group is 5-7 people who meet together for one hour each week to hold one another mutually accountable for their discipleship. There are no rules about the composition of groups. They tend to form based on the day and time people are available for a weekly meeting.
The group is guided by a covenant they write in which they promise to witness to Jesus Christ in the world and to follow his teachings through acts of compassion, justice, worship and devotion under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Covenant Discipleship Groups are currently forming at Susanna Wesley UMC, and will continue to form as people express a desire to join a group. Soon there will be an opportunity online to express your interest in becoming a part of a Covenant Group.
