Liam McSweeney
School Age Program Assistant Group Leader
Meet Liam McSweeney, our enthusiastic School-Age Assistant Group Leader who joined the Susanna Wesley United Methodist Church team on August 16th, 2022. Liam has been working with children for approximately eight months and was inspired to join our community after discovering his passion for working with kids through a volunteer opportunity.
Raised in an American family with roots in a small village in southeastern Kazakhstan, Liam’s unique background enriches our community. Although he has no siblings, Liam considers his pet dog a lovable, baby-like companion.
Liam’s hobbies and interests outside of Susanna Wesley include exploring different countries and cultures, particularly learning the Japanese language. He’s been studying Japanese independently for a few years and is eager to continue his studies at the university. Avid of traveling and amateur photography, Liam is always excited to capture life’s beautiful moments.
While Liam is not involved with religious organizations outside of Susanna Wesley, he is dedicated to our community and brings his diverse experiences to our team.
As for Liam’s favorite children’s movie, he holds a special place in his heart for Cars, which he watched countless times with his parents during kindergarten. His favorite book from childhood is “Ishmael” by Daniel Quinn, a thought-provoking novel that sparked intriguing discussions among his 6th-grade classmates.
We are delighted to have Liam as part of the Susanna Wesley family, and we know that his passion, dedication, and unique perspective will positively impact the children and community we serve.
