Sam Resch

Early Learning Assistant Teacher

Meet Sam Resch, a passionate and dedicated Early Learning Assistant Teacher at Susanna Wesley United Methodist Church. Sam is well-prepared to contribute to our community with two years of experience assisting dance classes for children aged 3-10 at the Dance Factory and volunteering at various events at Most Pure Heart of Mary and Christ the King. Sam became a part of our team on May 22, 2023.

As an elementary education major at Baker University, Sam is committed to gaining hands-on experience working with young students to foster their growth and development. Her choice to work at Susanna Wesley United Methodist Church aligns perfectly with her career goals, as it provides valuable practical exposure to her field of study.

Born and raised in Topeka, Kansas, Sam comes from a close-knit family. Her mother is an X-ray technician in the Cath Lab at Stormont Vail Hospital, and her father is a computer technician at Evergy. Her younger sister, a budding performer, is 16 years old and is a junior at Washburn Rural, where she indulges in her love for plays, musicals, guitar playing, and singing.
A dancer since age five, Sam has developed a profound love for the art form. She danced at The Dance Factory for 14 years, participated in her high school dance team at Hayden High School, and is a member of the Baker University Competitive and Game Day dance team. Beyond dance, she enjoys reading and cherishes her time with her family and friends.

Sam’s commitment to her community extends to her participation in Christ the King Catholic Church parish, where she is an active member.

One of Sam’s favorite children’s movies is “Beauty and the Beast,” a classic tale emphasizing the importance of inner beauty and accepting others’ positive qualities. This perspective of embracing everyone’s unique strengths is a philosophy that Sam brings to her work at Susanna Wesley United Methodist Church.

We are overjoyed to have Sam as part of our Susanna Wesley family. Her passion for education, dedication to children, and spirited personality will significantly impact our early learning program.
