My name is Tabitha Ewing, and I became Director for Susanna Wesley Child Care Center on August 15^th,2022. I was born and raised in Topeka, KS and graduated high school at Topeka High. While in high school I attended Kaw Area Technical School where I got a certificate in Childcare. Since being a child, I knew working with children was my passion and before graduation I began working with children in some way. I volunteered a lot at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library in a lot of Youth Events while in high school and got my first job at KinderCare. This was only the beginning of my career in childcare.

I am married and have two children, a son and stepdaughter. We enjoy having fun as a family like walks, playing games and sports that our son is involved in. Some of the other things that I am involved in is the Children’s Recommendation Panel (2^nd term) and the Kansas Family Advisory Board (1^st term). These are panels that I feel strongly about and enjoy being a part of because they help our community.  

Before getting this position, I was the Pre-K Teacher and Assistant Director here at Susanna Wesley.  I have been in childcare for about 20 years. I have taught Preschool and Pre-K mostly throughout the years. I got my director’s license in October of 2020. My passion for children drives me every day to get up and come to work. I enjoy seeing them walk in and have a smile on their face knowing they are going to have a great day here. 

My goal is to make sure your children are safe, loved and enjoy coming to Susanna Wesley Child Care Center every day.
