FAQs

What is Online Giving?

Online giving allows you to give financially to Susanna Wesley United Methodist Church at any time through your bank account, debit card, or credit card. Online giving is the most efficient way to make a financial contribution to the church.

How do I get started?

Click Give Online above. You will then have the opportunity to set up your payment method and make a contribution.

Get started on your smartphone or mobile device by downloading the Church Center App from the App Store or Google Play. Then, connect with Susanna Wesley United Methodist Church, set up your payment method, and contribute.

Can I set up recurring giving?

Yes. You have the opportunity to set up recurring online giving with any dollar amount with the frequency that works best for you. Options include:

  • Weekly – You choose the day of the week to give
  • Every Other Week – You choose the day of the week to give
  • Monthly – You choose the date of the month to give.
  • Twice-Monthly – You can give on the 1st and 15th, 6th and 20th, or 11th and 25th.

When you set up recurring online giving, you can change the frequency and dollar amount at any time.

How do I update my existing recurring giving?

Log in to your Church Center.
Click on your profile in the upper right corner of your page.
Then select My Giving. You can then see your giving history and update donation amounts and method of payment.

Can I make a one-time gift online?

Yes. You may give online one-time to our ministry funding plan or a unique giving opportunity.

What is the best way for me to give online?

The best way for you to give online is to set up recurring online giving using your bank account as a payment method. Giving through your bank account minimizes fees, and recurring giving provides regular ongoing financial support of the mission and ministry of our church. Giving online using your bank account is cheaper than buying a first-class stamp to send a check by mail.

Can I designate funds for a particular offering?

Yes. You can give online to support our ministry funding plan and also respond to unique giving opportunities like UMCOR Sunday or our Christmas Eve offering.

Can I give online from my smartphone or mobile device?

Yes. You may give through the Church Center mobile app, which is available for download for iOS and Android. Once connected, you can manage your giving securely and conveniently with the app.

What about fees?

Giving online involves a small fee. When you give online with your bank account as a payment method, there is a flat processing fee of $0.25 per transaction. When you give online with your credit or debit card, the size of your donation determines the processing fee. You have the option to cover the processing fees for the church either of these payment methods.

How will my online giving be acknowledged?

Soon after you give online, you will receive an email confirmation of your giving. Also, our church management system records your online contribution. You will continue to receive regular giving statements from the church. You can access your giving history online at any time.

Is my transaction safe and secure?

Yes. Your online giving is initiated through our church management software, Planning Center, and processed by Stripe. Both of these companies follow the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS, or more commonly, PCI). Your financial data is not stored on Planning Center servers and is handled instead by Stripe and stored on their PCI Level 1 compliant servers.
