Cassidy Filbert

Meet Cassidy Filbert, our dedicated School Age Program Director Designee at Susanna Wesley United Methodist Church! Cassidy joined our team on August 24th, 2022, bringing her over five years of experience working with children. Inspired by her love for children and pursuit of an elementary education degree, Cassidy found her calling at Susanna Wesley after working for Shawnee County summer day camps.
Cassidy’s life journey has shaped her into the compassionate and resilient person she is today. Born into a blended family, she has experienced the joy of having six siblings while facing the heartache of losing her mother and stepfather. These experiences have fueled her passion for helping young minds grow and learn.

Outside of her work at Susanna Wesley, Cassidy enjoys spending time in nature, whether fishing or walking. She’s also an avid crafter who loves to create beautiful and unique projects in her free time. Regarding children’s literature, Cassidy holds a special place in her heart for the Froggy books. These books remind her of her childhood when her mom read them, helping her overcome her reading struggles.

Cassidy’s warmth, dedication, and commitment to education make her an invaluable asset to our Susanna Wesley United Methodist Church community. We are truly blessed to have her as a part of our team!
